ACT: 32
UW GPA: 3.67, W GPA: 4.25
Full IB Diploma Candidate
Extracurrics: Not too many for me, just volunteering in a hospital, taking a cultural dance for many years, Secretary of a club, etc. Also, was part of a project where we analyze a creek through different studies, mine was Biological Assessment.

Teacher Recs from Counselor and Science Teacher

Question>> I apply to accelerated degree. Is it much competitive? If I am rejected at accelerated degree program, do they consider to review my application for normal undergraduate application?

bumppppppppppppp

I received my acceptance in late-October.
3.6 unweighted - 4.4 (out of 5.0) weighted
top 10 (7 or 8) out of about 400 students
Sent 1870 (1270) SAT but not my 2010 (1400) that I took later
I received a $15,000 Dean’s scholarship, and the opportunities at this school are amazing, but that $15,000 takes the cost of attendance down to about $31,000. Multiply that by 5 years, and that’s $155,000…Now given the three co-ops that pay about $15k (each I’m guessing?), that knocks off $45,000, leaving a final cost of $110,000. I really think this is too much debt as compared to going to an in-state school.

Accepted in Biological Sciences concentration! Also received AJ Drexel Scholarship of about $22000! I am still waiting for the 7 year med program notification. ANyone knows when that comes out??

Accepted! Also into the honors college and with aj drexel 21,000 scholarship

(SCIENCE MAJOR) chemistry major (but it says i have no co-ops which is really strange because i swear i put down that i wanted 3 co-ops…) if i like appeal, will they like revoke my scholarship money? =[

gpa: 3.68 (UW)
sat: 2200
sat II: 800 in chem, 800 in us history, 790 in bio
aps: chem, bio, us history, calc ab, environmental and english lang (all 5’s woot)

waiting on the med accelerated program but im worried that my gpa is too low… i took too many ap’s and ended up with quite a few b’s. but im hoping that because they offered me so much money that they liked my app so fingers crossed

Accepted a few weeks ago into the sports management program with a $28,000 scholarship!
From NJ
GPA: 101.6 weighted (out of 100)
SAT: 1210/1830
ACT: 28
Rank: 9/222

gansta - Just let them know again that you are interested in 3 co-ops. I don’t think it will be a problem. My son requested to switch from the 4yr and 1co-op to the 5yr and 3co-op 2 years ago. The request was granted and the scholarship $ was extended to the 5th year as well.

thanks SnL! i think ill call them in a few days…

does anyone know much about the honors college? my application says that i have been “offered admission” to the honors college… so do i fill out a separate application? also, is it particularly exclusive? thanks!

How long did you have to wait to get your admission result, all the accepted applicants??

babyboom, I got my decision in two weeks. it was really fast!

hey gangstahgrl, i don’t think we have to submit another application for the honors college. i got accepted into PHC also, but there was nothing about another application. i think accepted means we’re in and that’s it. i hope they’re not like penn state where you have to choose either the honors college or the accelerated med program. i want both if i can get both, but my subject test scores are pretty low so I’m a bit nervous about that.

ohh okay thanks, referee. hey, well it seems like they liked your app cuz you got into the honors college and quite alot of scholarship money, so im sure youve got a fighting chance  i hope we both get in!!! (ps. any idea when the decisions come out? i stalked their website and couldnt find anything >_> im expecting around march-ish?)

Do you receive an email when they make a decision? its driving me crazy to keep checking the status page

I just got accepted to the honors college with a 21,000 AJ drexel scholarship  i think the scholarship was an accident though cuz they already gave me a full tuition scholarship last year. Does anyone know if they can give you scholarships worth more than tuition that you can use on room and board or something?
and I don’t think they send you an email once they accept you, you just have to keep checking the site.

hey gangstahgrl78, i checked their website too. so apparently they bill us for our med applications in the middle of january. then, we’re invited for an interview (or not) at the end of january. the interview happens in feb. so im thinking the same thing as you - we probably hear our decisions around the middle or march or so. we’ll stay connected on the forum! and yes, it would be awesome if we both got in! =)

elizabethrose, actually they do send you an e-mail. they sent me an e-mail saying that a decision had been assigned to my file and that i should log into discover drexel to check that decision. and then when i logged in, i found out that i was accepted! yay =)
