Congrats, everybody! Thanks for tipping me off to the Honors status info on Application Tracker.

Spoke with an admissions counselor this morning and was told D1 was accepted into the College of Biological Sciences!! We’re thrilled for her as U Minn is her first choice school. She doesn’t know yet so she’ll find out when the letter arrives via snail mail somtime in the next week or so. Now begins the painful wait to see what amount of merit-based aid they’re able to offer. Hopefully the early application process will also lead to an early scholarship offer, especially since we’re not in a position to qualify for need-based aid and FAFSA will not really have a bearing on what the school might offer us. Congrats to all the other folks who’ve been accepted thus far and Good Luck to those still waiting to hear!!

My son’s “Application Tracking” page seems to be stuck on November 5. I assume this is the date they pulled his file to review it, but jeepers how long does it take!

Ok… D is still waiting to hear from UM- CFANs. but website is showing …Info received.Thank you. etc… I notice most are getting acceptance from College of Biology., Business etc. Starting to stress… She has strong creds… (got into 4 other flagship schools) but she really loves this one… Anyone know if CFANs has started sending out acceptance letters yet?.

Kajon, mine is also stuck on November 5th. I am just hoping that it may take them a while to update it online. =/

Our D’s application changed to the review state on Oct. 25, she received her acceptance letter in the mail on Nov.1 and her online status changed to accepted on Nov. 2 so it appears that it takes 6-7 business days to get a decision from when the application hits the “under review” state. This timeframe was for acceptance into the Carlson School of Management.

^I think it’s faster if you’re in state. I live in PA, I’m still waiting for a letter in the mail, and I had all my stuff in at the beginning of October. =(

Accepted to College of LIberal Arts! (economics) No word yet on Honors.

Just got accepted to ChemE and Honors!

Has anyone accepted to the College of Liberal Arts heard anything about Honors?

Ohh yay!! I just got in! OOSers, if you haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet, check your application status online. That’s where I just found out!

I’m from Texas and got into Carlson today!

My sons application tracker shows everything has been received but where do you check for the admission decision. It doesn’t look like his site has been updated since October. He sent his application in last July.

The decision shows up on the application tracker about a week after the tracker changes to say “your app is being carefully considered”

Jenjen, My D’s says the same thing and her app was completed in Aug. Most of the acceptances i’m seeing for Univ of MN are for the larger programs (i guess??). It would really be nice if we’d hear something soon, getting anxious now… She has 4 safety acceptances including MSU and IU-Bloomington but UM is her 1st choice school… I haven’t seen any feedback from acceptances from CFANS yet… I guess they haven’t started reviewing…

Our son has been accepted to CLA. He applied for psychology but the acceptance does not indicate that, only to CLA. Is this normal? So upon enrolment he will get to choose psychology as major? Anyone knows? Thanks.

^Yeah, mine didn’t mention my specific major either. I guess you go through that once you actually enroll.

I’m applying this week … Hope I get in :D

BryDee, sindarlord, mk13…Where on the Application Tracker page did you see any information regarding Honors status? D1’s page finally updated this morning to show her acceptance (letter came several days ago) and we’re hopeful she’ll get invited to join Honors. It would be great to know sooner rather than later…not that we’re impatient or anything. :)

here it is.
