For all of you who were accepted early decision, were you satisfied, suprised or terrified with your finaid packages? Especially for those who were counting help.

if you know you're gonna need help, you'll most likely get a good deal.

lets hope so :)

What do you do if you don't get enough?

If you're ED you can break the contract if you can't pay, by -THEIR- standards. If you're RD you simply just don't go.

I have a general question.. when you get your financial aid packet and it says that the family contribution has to be $10,000 or something, can you use outside scholarships to pay it off until it = $0 (wishful thinking, i knoww).. or would your financial aid package be re-calculated as a whole? Like would Penn give you less grant money or scholarship money if you won outside scholarships, or would it reduce your family contribution?

Lucky for you, they just changed that policy recently ecm :) Outside scholarship won't affect your grant... maybe the loans
