You are all good enough for Trinity....and I'm pretty sure you got waitlisted just because of your financial need....
Don't give hope though.....as you said above....the process is pretty random and if they waitlisted you randomly.....who knows...they might even accept you.......I hope you know the regular waitlist drill...but anyways...here are the basics:

Write back to the college, telling them you want to be considered and that you still want to go there..

VERY IMP: Send updates about your activities, grades, achievements etc.....think think think...there has to be something new that you can tell to them......and say it.

Keep in touch with the admission counselor of your region (you can find that out from the admissions website)....and send him/her frequent emails.

The bottom line is.....you have to show more interest this time...its not easy but if successful, the reward is worth the effort!

Best of Luck to all of you and congratulations to all the acceptees!

comfortably-numb,
I asked for lots of fin aid too. My stats briefly:
SAT I: 800M,680CR,720W(8E)
Sat II: MATH II 800, Physics 780, Italian, 770, Bio 710
GPA : 9.83/10.00
Rank: 1st/67 private school

greetings all. sorry for not havin posted for all this long.
firstly congratulations to all acceptees and good luck to the rest. specifically jeanatkin, comfortably-numb and TemplarOfSteel.. u all hav brilliant stats and trinity's decision only solidifies how much compatibility matters in case of this decision making process. I don think its entirely random. The main thing perhaps is that trinity only takes abt 30 odd internationals and try to offer them aid. SO gettin waitlisted or rejected in no way means that u are not qualified, its just perhaps they werent being able to offer substantial aid... two of my natives (I being a bangladeshi) got waitlisted too and they had better SATs than me.. and their emails kinda reflected the aid matter. Plz don lose hope.. and good luck with the remainin apps...

Jeeshan if u end up reading, well lookin forward to hearin wat decision u got... hope u get in...

finally, I would like 2 call upon the acceptees.. if u do end up enrolling at trinity we all would like to get acquainted with u just as us Ed applicants got acquainted with each other over the past 1.5 mths or so..

those of you who heard yes RD:
are any of you from the southeast? My good friend applied and was surprised to hear that people got their letters already, so we figure it must be a regional issue.

gtownbound: yea, the personalized letters were really nice! and i think there was someone in the "guided studies program" thread who got into the "cities program" .. u could check!

and yea.. where are the rest?? .. but well we can't expect everyone to be on cc!!

Waiting for the fin aid pkg to follow. I called and they told me they went out today so we should know by Wed what kind of aid they offer and she can make her final decision.

its funny that i should stumble upon this forum on this, the day of perpetual freak-outedness, but my name is Asa and I was accepted to Trin way back in Dec. on ED I.

so how do i get added to that cute listy thang?
