Acceptence Email?

Hello! So I applied to Pitt on 10/28 as an undergrad in Pre-Communication Disorders. I am also in-state. Just last night my friend who applied a little later than I did, found out she got into Pitt. I haven’t heard back yet and I’m starting to get worried. I called Pitt and spoke to an admissions counsler and she said a decision has been made, and that I should hear back hopefully by next week. My friend recieved an email (she’s going in Psychology) that she was accepted and so did my other friend. Should I be concerned if I haven’t recieved an email yet? I had a break down last night, because I was convinced that I didn’t get in. Pitt has been my dream school ever since I could remember. Any feedback or advice would be much appreciated.

I have 40 views, someone please! lol

If you read the 2016 Acceptance thread you can see that there are many qualified applicants who have applied, some well before you, that have not heard back yet. Of the people who haven’t heard yet, some will be accepted, some will be deferred and some will be rejected. No one on this forum can tell you what your specific decision is going to be. So other than assuring you that many others are in the same boat and are experiencing the same stress and frustration, there’s no magical solution to your situation.

@LilyFarsi16 Agree with the above. There’s nothing for you to do at this point. Take a deep breath! Go do something to take your mind off of it. Good luck!
