Accepting Admission

So, I've decided to join the Wesleyan community (woot!).

Does anyone happen to know if I can accept admission online, or if I must snail-mail my acceptance? Also, I can't seem to find a form for dorm preference. Does Wes just choose for you, or am I missing something?

Okay, just found some information on housing options in the matriculation packet. Still unsure about the online vs. mail issue.

I remember having to send it in by mail last time...that seems like the best bet.

PS. Yay! Wes is awesome.

Information about dorm selection will be circulated during the summer, so don't stress about it yet. Congrats!

I spoke to someone in the Admissions office yesterday. They only take payment by check through snail mail and they want the filled-out admissions form (the one that came in the acceptance envelope) with the deposit. Hoping to be sending this out ourselves in a couple of days.

Thanks for the info. One more question, if anyone knows...

Included in my financial aid is a matriculation grant, which covers the deposit amount (I think. It's $300). So, do I still need to send the deposit, or do I only send the admission sheet, or do I send the admission sheet with a note explaining the matriculation grant o_0. I just don't want to send the admission sheet alone and have Wes send back a letter saying: "We did not receive your deposit, so you are no longer welcome at Wes. Have a nice day." Or something to that effect ;).

In my Financial Aid letter it says that the $300 matriculation grant is separate from that $250 admission deposit (so you do have to send the $250).

Thanks, eurydiced.

Wonder what the grant does, then? Reimburses you for it, maybe? Hmmm.
