We are trying to "accept" a loan that S got for law school. It's one of 3 that he can accept. He doesn't want to accept the other two. Anyway, all 3 loans are listed, and it says to either accept, cancel, or decrease the amount. They each have "cancel" in a window, and we have been trying to change the one to "accept." Nothing seems to work to change the word. The only thing we've been able to do is highlight the word "cancel" in blue. Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to do this???

I know exactly what you are talking about as I had been trying the same exact thing and I ended up having to call UF because I was afraid that I had cancelled my son’s FA by mistake. Talk about panic. According to the FA office, in the not too distant future, UF will update the financial aid with an accept and decrease option and you can do it at that time.

Oh, thank you! I thought I was being totally stupid, but both he and i could not figure this out. I, too, was concerned about accidentally getting rid of the one he wanted. Phhheeewww! :)

I just got this done yesterday. When you go to your fin aid page on isis, just highlight the “accept” option in all the awards you want to accept, then scroll down and click on “submit changes”, it will take a day or so to update. Once it updates, you have to go back into isis and on the left click on fin aid status and it will tell you everything you need to do -it will send you to the loans website where you have to complete the orientation and sign the master promissory note. After that it will take another day or two to show up on isis that you completed everything and your package will be ready to disburse as soon as it becomes available (usually 3-5 weeks after school starts)

The problem is we don’t see an “accept” button. The only thing, so far, that he could highlight is cancel. And for two of the 3 loans that’s fine. But one of the loans he wants to take, and there’s no accept button. I’ll check again to see if it’s been updated.

@zebes, it’s not an actual “button” the little window should have the three options listed all under each other (accept, cancel, reduce) and what you do is highlight the option… THEN you scroll down to a button that says “submit changes” that should do it

I know, lol, we’ve done this for two years for my daughter’s merit aid. IIn his case, in the little window is only “cancel.” That’s okay, S has emailed the law school financial aid office to ask about it. We’ll get it figured out.
