Accepting Financial Aid?

My daughter turned in her deposit check at last Sunday's Admitted Students Reception (and got to ring the Victory Bell!). We've been reviewing financial aid paperwork and the site online and I think the answer to my question is "no," but can anyone confirm for sure if there is anything that affirmatively needs to be done to accept any financial aid (grant, university scholarship, Stafford loan) prior to May 1st? Some schools require you accept your scholarship in writing along with enrolling.

My husband tried to call USC Fin Aid yesterday and had to give up after half an hour on hold. Thought I'd check here as a backup -- busy today but I'll probably call tomorrow.

Thanks!

For certain Scholarships, there is a form that has to be signed, and sent back. Not sure which you received, so I can't answer for yours. For ours, we receieved a form in the mail, that we signed, and sent back. We are working on the Stafford paperwork currently. There is a link via Usc.edu, that explains process for Stafford.

It was the $4000 University Scholarship...no paperwork came in the mail with the financial aid award, just a flyer about a work study option.

I'll double-check the Stafford info online. Thanks.

If anyone has anything additional to add it would be appreciated!
