Accepting financial aid.

Now that we've announced our intent to enroll, is there some way we're supposed to confirm our financial aid/payment options? I haven't gotten anything in the mail about that yet.

Also, on ACES it says that I'm missing a Federal Verification Worksheet - but I could have sworn that was sent in with IDOC and the financial aid office never informed me about it (they had previously said something else was missing that I had to fax into them).

On the SAR there was an * after your EFC that indicated you were subject to verification. You can easily print out the Verification Worksheet, complete it, then call Duke to fax it. If your tax return figures don't match, you could be in big doo doo.

If my father recently lost his job, would Duke change my financial aid package?

Where can I find the verification worksheet?

I emailed the financial aid office and they said they're going to send all the information packets out in the beginning of June and not to worry about it yet...

Each school usually has a section under( financial aid )where you can print forms.

PPham: if your parents filled out the FAFSA while you dad had his job, I would say that it is worth it to email your financial aid officer and explain that he no longer has his job. If you don't know your officer, just search for "financial aid" on the duke mainpage and email the main office... they'll have someone cover it.

PPham: Yes, Duke absolutely will adjust your financial aid accordingly. I had that done the first semester of my freshmen year. You need to email you financial aid counselor (name should be printed on your offer form) and explain.
