Accepting (SIR) for two schools?

Is it okay if i turn in SIR (intent to go thingy) to two schools that i am still indecisive about? or does it not work that way? cause its due may 1st for UC Santa Cruz and Cal Poly SLO, and i'm not quite sure which one i want to 100% go to yet. so can i turn in my SIR, and then cancel on them? or is that unethical and i shouldn't? I already turned in my SIR for cal poly SLO today, but i think i might regret if i don't go to UC SC... im very indecisive and i can't decide with the moment of pressures/stress in my life (ap testing/work/midterms/etc).

so my question is, is it possible or allowed to turn in SIR to two schools? will it affect the admission of the other, vice versa?

Its allowed. Loss will likely be any deposits you make at one you later withdraw from.

Nevertheless, doing so simply means you will be agnozing over the decision longer. At some point you need to learn that the best thing to do when you have two good choices is to pick one and then forget forever there was another.

When you sign the SIR, you’re saying you plan to attend that school, so it’s lying if you sign both at the same time. Now, probably nothing bad would happen, but both schools would be within their rights to get grumpy and not allow you to attend. It’s really not worth the risk.
