Accepting their acceptance? (Transfer)

Hey guys. I remember that last year for freshman admission to a bunch of schools, you had to specifically indicate somewhere that "Yes, I am attending this school." or something like that. I called Georgia Tech admissions yesterday, and the guy I talked to told me I didn't have to do anything. But the lady who emailed me back today told me that I had to give them an admissions deposit.

??

Does anybody know the real story?

Again, this is for transfer.

I’m in for undergraduate freshman so I’m not sure if it’s the same thing. But I might as well tell you what I know for your reference =P.

I know that for us undergraduates, we have to pay a $250 deposit by May 1st in order to reserve a spot. I can do this in BuzzPort (https://login.gatech.edu/cas/login</a>) by: 1) Logging in, 2) Going to the “Accepted Freshman” Tab on the top yellow bar, and 3) Clicking the “Accept Our Offer of Admission - Pay Deposit” link. That will redirect you to the site where you pay the deposits. You can also prepay your housing over there.

I’m not sure if the same thing applies to you, but if you got in, then I’m pretty sure you’ll get your own BuzzPort account. Maybe try looking around in there =)?

Hope it helps.
