<p>My daughter is loving her summer. I think this summer is going to convince her to apply this coming year for boarding school.</p>
<p>She is having a fantastic time. Her FB messages keep talking about the talking and how much they are learning.</p>

<p>I went to Access Exeter as well, the summer before 8th grade, and now I’m attending the school. If I could give one tidbit of advice to someone in your daughter’s position, it would be to get to know the teachers of the program. Many of them are Exeter alums, though they may not be full-time teachers. One of my teachers, a professor at a top university wrote me a recommendation, which I felt really helped my application, and I still keep in touch with her!</p>

<p>Hey Rose2014! Last summer, I attended Access as a rising 8th grader(I was in the global community cluster.) I too was sold on the boarding experience, as were many of my friends. Though I was admitted to Exeter, some of my friends who only applied to PEA were rejected and wait listed, ultimately leading to heartbreak. I would advise your daughter to A) apply to a wide array of schools, and B) if admitted, attend Exeter’s revisit! The regular session program appeared to be much different than the summer program on my revisit.

<p>Can you explain the differences you saw between the regular classes and the summer program? I am assuming that the summer program is lite and not nearly as intensive as the regular program.</p>
