I've heard that frats dominate alot of the social scene at Cornell, but as someone who isn't very interested in joining a frat but very into partying, I wanted to know if there would be an issue.
I want to party during weekends and stay social, but is it possible as a Greek "outsider"?

Freshman year it will be more of an issue, after which you will likely know about house parties and such going on. But it’s definitely possible to get invited to house parties as a freshman, you will just need to meet upper classmen.

If u want to party at frats without joining that will be no problem ur first semester. 2nd semester is when ull want to start trying to find outside places until frat parties start up again during the 2nd half of spring semester. Then once ur a sophomore ull start knowing ppl in houses who are having parties and the frats will be going full speed again during fall semester.

Then when ur 21 bars will start (or b4 if u have a good fake if ur a guy or a pretty decent fake if ur a girl)

But ya, just cuz u don’t wanna join a frat doesn’t mean u can’t party at one. People at frats even party at other frats that aren’t even theres. There aren’t restrictions or anything.

Freshmen fall there are SO MANY frat parties. I remember having lists of like five or six a night sometimes. As the semester goes on, you can meet upperclassmen who have parties outside of greek houses.

Also, tiny plug for greek life… don’t be totally closed to it. With 40+ fraternities on campus, there really is a fraternity for everyone.
