Accessible schools that are still serious academically?

<p>Well, a 3.0 GPA may limit your choices. When combined with your GPA, it’s going to look like you aren’t a dedicated student and/or you don’t do your homework. </p>

<p>What’s your budget? How much will your parents pay? That will likely determine where you should apply.</p>

<p>*So I was checking out the state U (University of Kentucky, not that that’s terribly important) and the impression I got (unsurprisingly) was that the school was terribly focused on partying and sports, to the detriment of, well, any actual education.

<p>What did you do when you say you were “checking out” UK? What did you actually do? Visit the website? Visit the school on a weekend? What did you do?</p>

<p>My parents can manage $14k-$15k.
I was reading reviews online from students. I know, that’s by no means comprehensive or accurate. I intend to visit, and actually I’ll be down there anyway for the state debate tournament later this year.</p>
