when i first filled it out this page came up, but it seemed to work fine. can i not use firefox browser to fill out the fafsa? help please. thanks.

bump.

any help? i cant access the one i filled out and definately dont want to have to do it again. please?

We had a bit of a problem using Firefox while filling out the FAFSA. We switched to IE (ick) and it all worked then

call them if nothing else works. They answer the phone promptly

Also, try clearing the cache in the browser.

Click on the "Tools" button at the top of the browser, then click on "Internet Options", then click on the "Delete Files" under the "Temporary Internet Files" section, then click the "Delete all offline content" box, and then click "OK".

This will run for a long-time if you've never cleared your cache before. Once it stops running, close the browser and re-open it and try your query again.

If this doesn't solve the problem, run the disk defragmenter program. You get there by going to "Start", then "All Programs", then "Accessories" and then "System Tools", then choosing "Disk Defragmenter". This program takes about 2 hours to run, so keep this in mind.

Both of these are things people should do on a regular basis to keep their computers and browsers running well. Consider doing this every three months or so for best results.

Good luck.

Here's what I found...

I ran into the same problem that you did.

Just file for a new FAFSA - the first time option... and put in your info, your social security, etc... and it'll just tell you that you have already started an app and give you the option to continue. I clicked that and it brought me to where I was in the process.

I had the same problem with Firefox 2.0 with a Mac using OSX 10.4.7. I went to another Mac and used an older version of Netscape and an older OSX and was able to retrieve and finish the saved FAFSA. The bottom line is that they SAY you can use Firefox on a Mac, but that is not completely true!
