For Johns Hopkins, I messed up and accidentally put Biomedical Engineering as my first choice major, because I forgot to change it to neuroscience. Their BME major is really hard to get into, so I didn’t want to have it as my first choice.
Should I call the admissions office to change this, or will if reflect badly on my part?
Before you call/email, check to see if it’s possible to change your major in the portal.
Good luck.
Unfortunately, probably both.
Unless they have changed their procedure, the admissions office first decides whether or not to admit you. Then, if you put BME, they send the application to BME to see if you will get into BME. If you don’t get BME, you are admitted to your second major.
