I just submitted my MIT app, and without thinking much I wrote down my SAT score on the self-report section. I scored better on the ACT than on the SAT, so through CB I only sent my subject test scores and didn't bother sending my SAT. Completely forgot I wrote it down. Will this have any effect?

bump

It’s not a problem. You self-reported. You are only required to submit one which you did.

@Momof2back2back Do they only consider official scores? Are self-reported scores only placeholders until official scores come in?

Yes - placeholder is a good word. But the one exception are AP scores – because AP scores are not required as part of the application process by most (all?) colleges, you only need to self report them. You do not need to pay the fee to send AP reports to all of your colleges. Once you accept admission to one college next spring, then you can pay to submit official AP reports to that single college.
