Accidentally sent awful scores

I took the SAT in March and got a decent CR 580 Math 650 and Writing 550. I just got my May scores today and they were awful: CR 510 Math 590 Writing 570. I knew they were going to be bad on test day when I lost pace and focus. Didn't want to cancel them because I was morbidly curious. I thought I had removed recipients from College Board, but OMG they went out!

My GPA is 93 unweighted and 102 weighted. I'm a Junior and my counselor says I'm currently ranked in the top 10 percent in my class of 448. Have plenty of extracurriculars, awards, community service. I'm in honors and AP classes but I'm really freaking out about todays scores.

Looking at SUNY's ( Bing, Geneseo, New Paltz, Stony Brook) and worried that these scores being a huge drop from my first sitting will hurt. I'm taking SAT again June 6 and ACT June 13 and already worrying about pacing myself. Will the schools ignore the 2nd sitting? or wonder why I went downhill so badly?

If you take them again and improve, then there shouldn’t be a huge problem. Most colleges understand that sometimes students have off days! Did you send the first one? Because many schools also superscore. Don’t worry too much, just let this motivate you to study/practice for the next test!

I did send the first scores. I didn’t feel pressured with the first one and was happy with my score, but wanted to improve it. Didn’t work out that way.

So now they have my 1230 (CR and Math) from March and my 1100 from May. I hope they ignore it.

They only count the highest score from each section of the test. Not to worry.
