Accidentally Sent Low Score

Hello!

My question is more technical in nature, and is purely for the sake of peace of mind. When I first took the SAT (the old one), I stupidly decided to send out my score before I saw it. I ended up sending it to Claremont McKenna and the UCs. I got a 1950 on that SAT, but have since then gotten a 32 and a 33 on the ACT. I know CMC and the UCs will keep my bad SAT score, but will I be penalized for it? Or will they only look at/care about my much higher ACT scores? In short, will the fact that I sent my bad SAT score affect my admissions chances? Do the UCs and CMC handle stuff like this differently? Sorry that my writing isn’t organized, I’m just trying to get my question up quickly! Thanks!

Looks like both will take your highest scores.

n the College Board’s Score Choice module, ensure that all scores are sent to UC. We require all scores and will use the highest scores from a single administration.
For the ACT with Writing test, we will focus on the highest combined score from the same test administration.
For the SAT or SAT with Essay, we will focus on the highest total score from a single test date.

The Admission Committee will take the highest score from the individual subsections of the ACT to give you the highest ACT Composite score.

SAT with Essay

For Fall 2017 applicants, CMC will accept both the revised SAT and the old SAT. We will compare your scores using concordance tables to determine your highest scores on either the revised SAT or the old SAT. We will not superscore across the revised SAT and the old SAT.
