Accidentally SIR'd

Hi,
I know its a 6 step process but I accidentally Sir’d to ucsc. (Just wanted to see what the steps are but no review option came ip :/)
Its one of my top choices but still wanted to wait for others. Will this have any negative affect or affect other UC decisions?
Thank you!

You have to pay, so you if you didn’t put in a credit card, I’m not sure how you SIR’d.

@Ohm888 It literally didn’t ask for any payment(said no payment required at this time)"
I guess due to financial aid. It said nothing due and after 6th step said congratulations.

I’m worried about that affecting other Uc decisions. Like do other uc’s get notified if i sir to ucsc?

I guess if you get accepted to another and want to go, withdraw this one and SIR to the other.

@Ohm888 aite thanks, but I haven’t heard from any other, will they know i have air’d to ucsc and not admit me based on that? Don’t want that happening as i want my options open

I don’t think they would know but how did you sir without paying?

@fcb1010
I’m not even kidding it didn’t ask for any fees (it said nothing due at this time).
So yeah, and now that i sir’d the option is gone (obviously ) and gives the usual congratulations and commitment to ucsc etc.
I think its because I recieve financial assistance

Oh really dam that’s strange. I wouldn’t stress to much about it i don’t think that the other UC’s get notified.

Hopefully bro, ucsc is tied for my favorite school. Its just that having other schools accept me would give me some more options.

Ya definitely well unless somebody has been through this there is no exact way to know but nevertheless don’t worry too much!

@loyalfan49 if you’re waitlisted the UC always says SIR to another, then if you get in, withdraw the first SIR and SIR to second. Plus, people SIR sometimes to more than one UC (they don’t like it which is why they raised SIR price). So it appears you can do it.

@Ohm888 thanks!
I acupuncture contacted the Uc admissions and they said it has no affect so Im set i guess.
