Accidentally submitted late application

So I was applying to Duke on 1/2 and I filled out everything and paid the application fee but I had food poisoning so I was out of it so I somehow forgot to hit the next button for my signature on common app. I’m feeling better now so I logged into Common App this morning and saw that I hadn’t submitted it and submitted it immediately. It says I submitted on 1/4 and that the deadline is 1/3 (Is it possible to submit post deadline?). Since I paid the fee on the 2nd will Duke still review my app or will they throw it out? I didn’t really expect to get in anyway but Duke was tied for my first choice college so I’d be kind of disappointed if I didn’t even have a chance.
Thanks for any help.

Call them and ask.

@suzy100 That’s actually a really good idea. I will do that as soon as I get home. Thanks!

They won’t throw it out. Remember, it makes them look good the larger number of applications rec’d.

“X college refunded my money and didn’t read my application because it was one day late” said nobody ever, I’d say.

I don’t even think they have closed all applications even today, January 7. At least my daughter has gotten emails telling her she can apply through January 8. Something along the lines of “because you have expressed an interest, we are extending the deadline.” The interest shown was listing them as a school she planned to apply to and having her teachers send recommendations. She truly is interested, having visited the beautiful campus and being impressed. But applying slipped through the cracks. So, truly, OP, you have no worries sending half of application in “late.” I don’t even think it was late.

@cr_02 They emailed my son (twice in the last 3 days) extending the deadline to tomorrow (1/8) at 11:59pm. so as poster above said, you have no worries. My son did visit but no app, test scores or recommendations were submitted because he opted not to apply because it’s in the wrong state for him. Good luck to you and don’t worry another second about the app being late.
