This was late in the night, so I hope this mistake is understandable.

I accidentally unsubscribed from the UVA e-mail listing. While browsing through my e-mails to find the e-mail regarding my UVA SIS account, I accidentally clicked the link following text text that stated "To unsubscribe:" in an e-mail with the message, "Important UVa application reminder!".

The e-mail was sent in late December and was reminding me to submit my application, so I am unsure whether this sender is still relevant. Should I do something to alleviate this problem? If so, what should I do?

On some side notes: if possible, how do I check the completion my financial aid application on SIS? Also, why is "official transcript" on my To Do List? I have sent my transcript a long time ago, and this was not on my To Do List last time I checked SIS. When clicked, the status of this To Do Item reads, "Initiated". Does this merely mean UVA has read my official transcript or do I have to send something in?

Initiated does not mean that they have read it - I had that on my to-do lost as well, and ended up needing to re-send them. It’s possible that because you unsubscribed from the e-mail, you missed a message about them missing your transcript…? You should contact admissions ASAP.

Did you list multiple schools on your application? Many students list summer programs that didn’t award any credit, but the system doesn’t know this. The SIS thinks it needs a transcript for every school that you listed on your application.

If you see a “complete” or “view decision” icon at the bottom of your SIS page, your file is complete.

We emailed students who were missing required credentials a few times in February.

I have taken classes at three different schools. During my freshman and sophomore year I took classes at a particular high school, but moved and enrolled in a different school for my junior and current senior year. Also, my school allows students to take certain courses at the nearby college, and I have taken advantage of this program.

However, the transcript my school sent included all my grades from each of this schools and I do see a view decision icon on my application.

@brishe I unsubscribed last night, so I don’t think I missed any UVA e-mails.

On another side note, how long does it usually take for UVA to process financial aid documents?

Today I received an e-mail telling me to check my To Do List, and now I see Parent 1040
Parent Signature Page, and Parent W2 on my list. I have sent these documents, with the exception of the signature page, weeks ago.

Dean J,
I think I am having this problem. I currently attend a part-time governor’s school located on a community college campus, but I am almost positive that my grades and courses from this school are included in my official high school transcript. In fact, my guidance counselor told me that sending a separate transcript wasn’t necessary. I sent my high school transcript in on time and my SIS application status currently says “view decision”, but on my To-Do list it says that I need a transcript from the college I am dual enrolled in through the governor’s school. Do I need to send the separate transcript? And is it to late to do so?
