According to Admissions, the letters were mailed today!

Since we have had one go through BC and have another waiting to hear, one student friend who works in Admissions just called to tell D2 that the letters were mailed today…

D1 worked in Admissions as an Undergraduate, so the connection is strong…

wow..that's great news :) i will tell my cousin..he's quite anxious to hear as well

We are very big on BC here. Transplanted from Northbrough to Sarasota, but our hearts are in Chestnut Hill. D1 got a great education from an incredible school. We're praying that D2 gets in so that the tradition can continue. D3 would be Class of 2015, and she's already in the pipeline...

i don't know what your daughters majored in .. but I applied to business

is it that attractive? how did they like academically? social? sports?

I can't really travel that far to Boston ... so It would be awesome super awesome if you can explain some detailed life of Boston college

thank you!!

So I totally hate how colleges just spring these decisions out without telling us what date... Like suddenly I have three colleges mailing decisions TODAY.

But omg I'm excited.

just curious, what other schools mailing today?

Carnegie Mellon sent a batch out today apparently..

ok so i can't count.

just carnegie mellon, but rice sends out emails tomarrow (NONE of these schools gave notice of how early it would be). given i live pretty close to bc and cmu, i might recieve three tomarrow; if not, there's berkeley on thursday to make me even more depressed.

edit: ok so that whole email berkeley sent about "we're worth the wait until march 27th" makes SO much sense to me now. like seriously, this is rediculous how unexpected all of this is. or maybe i'm just spazzing.

Great news! I should hear from BC on Wednesday or Thursday then, although I'm deferred, so my chances are not that good :(

Well if this post is correct, this forum should get very interesting tomorrow!!!

Oooh, excellent! I live right in CT...I should hear by Wednesday. :D

Coopjust, my daughter was deferred too.

Good luck everyone!!!

Good luck everyone! Does anyone know if BC is one of the schools that send out deceptive looking thin envelopes?

my friend (who got in EA) got a large envelope (9X12 type)

i heard they accept 14% of EA deferred applicants.. it's on their website somewhere

i was deferred too so i'm nervous

ooh baby it's crunch time! does anyone know if the letters were done as of tonight or if they are already sent? I live really close and for all I know it could be here tomorrow!

only 14% of deferred applicants?
oh no.
i was deffered at BC and Notre Dame...
this can't be good, can it?

yeah isn't it scary? i remember the 14% stat being from either their website or the college board... so yeah. nervewracking.
