Accounting Chances

@daniil450 BU’s SMG also has an undergraduate 4 year business program

Holy Cross has great reputation for alumni network and has groups focused on Wall Street, High Tech, New Companies etc. HC also has one of the highest alumni giving rates over 50%.

@par72‌ I like Holy Cross but I am afraid of their selective accountant program, they only select 32 people and that is after the Freshman year. So if i do not make it I am screwed, also the NFC shows that it is a bit to expensive.

Emory College (ED) - High Match
Notre Dame Mendoza- A bit of a reach
Boston College Carroll- High Match
USC Marshall - High Match
University of Richmond Robins - Safety
Lehigh University - Safety
Boston School of Management - Safety
Bentley University - Safety
Penn State (state school) - Safety

If you just take your SAT, SAT II’s, and AP Tests, then you should get into nearly all of them.

Bump.

so this is my new list after the suggestions, accept/waitlist/decline please
Reach- Emory (ED), BC, Notre Dame, USC
Target- Richmond, Wake Forest, Lehigh, Bucknell
Low Match- BU
Safety- Indiana Kelley (auto admit) but will have to get merit aid.

Also add Washington & Lee as a reach

What state are you in? If cost is a real issue why won’t you consider the State school. My son went to IU from out of state. I had to pay full boat as an out of state student. Most aid or grants are given to In state students. My son’s roommate attended IU for FREE because they offered an veterans scholarship for their kids. All out of state kids play full, they attract lots of international kids from Asia. My son’s yr there was 600 kids from China, Hong Kong, Korea etc. Kelley is an excellent school but remember the school has 40k kids. Classes are large but IU offers a lot of options over private universities. But if you look at the graduation rate, its like 50%.
Out of your list, Bentley has the best accounting program but the school is limited in terms of majors. You can only seriously major in business.

I am instate for Pennsylvania, Do not like Pitt’s campus a lot. Penn State is coming out more costly then the all of the colleges up there but IU after the need based grants.

Well @RugbySingh, I think that your intern at E&Y is going to be really good for your resume. Your GPA and ACT scores are kind of low for some of the schools, but if you do ED for Emory, I think you have a shot.
Here are my opinions:
Emory- reach
Mendoza- high reach
Boston College- low match
USC Marshall- low reach
University of Richmond- safety
Lehigh University- safety
Boston School of Management- safety
Bentley University- safety
Indiana (Kelley)- Since I am from Indiana and might apply to Kelley, I would like to tell you that in order to gain direct admissions to the Kelley School of Business, you have to have a 3.7 UW GPA from a 4.0 scale. Try to get that 3.6 up and you have a really high chance of direct admissions to Kelley.
Good luck!

@Masalaboy‌ Thanks for the chance, at Kelley’s website it states the GPA can be UW or Weighted,

Bump, will chance back

Emory College (ED) - High Match (I visited them this week, sounds like you fit the requirements nicely)
Notre Dame Mendoza- High Match
Boston College Carroll- Low Reach to high match.
USC Marshall - Low Reach to high match.
University of Richmond Robins - Safety
Lehigh University - You should get in.
Boston School of Management - Low Match
Bentley University - Don’t know much about, but I think you should get in.
Penn State (state school) - You will get in.
Indiana Kelley(Auto Admit)- Safety and cant speak about merit or financial aid b/c I don’t know enough about it.

---------------CHANCE ME FOR THESE COLLEGES-------------
Emory (ED)
Notre Dame Mendoza
USC Marhsall
BC Carroll
Richmond Robins
Wake Forest
Babson
Villanova- also chance for merit aid (EA)
Boston U
Bentley
Kelley (auto admit)- chance for merit aid
Penn State

@RugbySingh, I know that Kelley’s website says that they accept the weighted GPA, but then they say that the GPA will be converted to a 4.0 scale.
This is from the website:
For fall 2015 admission, you will automatically be offered direct admission to the Bloomington Kelley School of Business if you have:
Been admitted to IU Bloomington and indicated business as your intended major. See above.
Earned a composite ACT score of 30 or SAT total score of 1270, including only the math and critical reading sections. The best available scores from multiple test dates will be considered.
Earned a cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale during your high school career. Indiana University accepts weighted GPAs (if provided on the high school transcript). Please note that all GPAs will be converted to a 4.0 scale

Ok thank you @masalaboy for that wealth of knowledge, I thought that they accept W or UW, but just realized that they will convert it to UW
