Accounting colleges?

I applied to schools and declared my major as accounting. I was wondering if I chose good schools for this field.

--Syracuse
--Penn State--University Park
--Maryland State--College Park
--Boston College
--Binghamton
--BYU
--Univeristy of Richmond
--Villanova
--Loyola
--UPENN

–Syracuse==Not accredited.
–Penn State–University Park==Good choice
–Maryland State–College Park==Maryland State? It’s University of Maryland. Not accredited.
–Boston College==Not accredited.
–Binghamton==Do they even have an Accounting program? Wait, do they even have a business program?
–BYU==Are you Mormon?
–Univeristy of Richmond==Don’t know much about. However accredited.
–Villanova==Good choice.
–Loyola==Don’t know much about. However accredited.
–UPENN==Not a good choice for Accounting.

Results==> Penn State or Villanova

accredited by what??

sp1212 - Where do you get your information from? BYU is consistently ranked towards the top by US News for their accounting program, as is Boston college. Here is the lsit from 2008.

BYU, and UPenn are easily the top on that list. sp1212, that’s bogus.

^ True. I think sp meant that if you go to Penn, everyone will seem to be interested in high finance over accounting, but that just gives you a very good option if you decide you don’t like accounting. Also, I think sp was referring to how BYU can be so religious it affects school policy (dress codes for example) which may be a turn-off to some.
To the OP: The US News ranking is a very good place to start and you might want to swap a couple of your choices with a couple that are ranked highly there if you see any that appeal to you.
