Hi I'm currently a sophomore at Washington State University and have been pretty set on doing accounting as a major as well as having some kind of computer background. My question is what is the difference between AIS vs. A regular accounting degree + a Comp Sci minor? AIS is pretty much a major that combines accounting and management information systems (MIS), but I also want to look more selective when I graduate so I figured a background in computer science would benefit me more. Any suggestions?

I’m going to bump this because I think this is a good question

anyone???

I am not sure a double major will help. Go with the minor (unless you want to do a CPA and you need someway to get 150 credits). As far as looking “selective” goes, big 4/large regional jobs aren’t all that competitive anyway, assuming that’s what you want.
