Accounting Major

I was thinking of switching majors, from Management to Accounting. However, I don't have any intentions to become an accountant when I grow up. What other jobs can an accounting major get (other than accountant)?

The skills you acquire from an accounting major can be applied to any business career. You can still go into management, finance, etc. Not every accounting major plans on becoming a CPA.

accounting is the easiest "in" to the fbi. you do have to work in a public accounting firm for a years before though...

Accounting is an AWESOME foundation for any career down the lines of business, non-profit, or government. Not just in accounting, because the knowledge and analytical (quantitative mostly) skills gleaned from an accounting degree provide an understanding of why and how, which is good for management, marketing, IT, etc. You can use the base knowledge of accounting and branch into whatever you are most passionate about in almost any business, since you will understand the core functions of the business. And let's be honest, governement and not-for-profits operate like private businesses as well (for the most part).
