Accpted HSS, Waitlisted MCS

is HSS that much easier to get into than MCS? i know HSS is the easiest college to get into...

Well i posted this in another thread also, but just for the sake of having its own thread: could i finish premed requirements in HSS?

also,
say that i don't get into MCS, but once im attending CMU, how difficult is it to get into MCS? or is that kind of transfer not too difficult?

as you can tell, i'm pretty clueless to how all these colleges work in tandem, so any help would be appreciated.

as a sidenote,
i was originally thinking of majoring in biology in MCS with psychology in HSS as backup, but now i'm really into the idea of taking the cognitive science major in HSS. i'm mostly concerned about whether i can get into med school as a student enrolled in HSS.

thanks!

Call CMU and get the facts: What is the med school acceptance rate with the following majors (i.e. the majors you are interested in). I don't know where you are from, but CMU is generally famous for computer science, engineering, and the theater arts program. Tepper is also excellent. I have not heard of CMU being the place to go for pre-med but I could be wrong. I am not from Pittsburgh--does CMU offer you internships at a local hospital? At $52,000 plus per year, in addition to med school costs, make sure that your money will give you the most promising return you want.

i'll definitely be looking into this more
