Heya everyone,

Just wanted to ask a quick question about the practice SAT tests from the College Board. Are they an accurate prediction when it comes to the actual test in terms of difficulty and overall score?

I'm taking the SAT for the first time this Oct. as a senior (ACT taker) and the practice scores were as followed:

CR-680
Math-700
Writing-660
Total= 2040

Is this a good representation? Truthfully a little higher than I thought I'd get since it was my first try so I'm suspicious

From what I have seen, College Board-made tests are pretty accurate.

And YES. 2040 is AWESOME for first try in a practice test.

Thanks for the input kimhm92!! =]

I was just really surprised at my score since my goal on the SAT was to just score above 2000…

Well another test tomorrow will help determine if it was just luck ^_^

I’d like to know the result! I’ll be taking mine tomorrow too! I take it every Tuesday and Thursday. I can’t be like the CCers and take practice exams twice everyday.

You’re pretty well-rounded. I’m in the 500-range for CR, and 700-range for Math and Writing… :(

Tell me about it, I’ve read that some people just study for the SAT 24/7 and it’s a bit much. And I don’t know what the purple frown face is for? =]
You are solid in two areas and just need to brush up a little on CR!! CR in my opinion seems the easiest to remedy for you =]

Tell ya what. Let’s have a competition…(friendly off course) on who gets a higher score tomorrow. We can PM our results to each other and truthfully it’ll be nice to have someone to compare to once in awhile ^_^

I agree. I can’t even look at an SAT book for one hour straight. I need break every like 30 minutes.

GREAT. I accept your little challenge lol. I am going to take the Princeton Review 2010 Edition Practice exam. #6 or 7. Princeton exams’ difficulty is similar to the actual ones’.
If you’re taking Barron’s or something, it’s not comparable though. Barron’s mad hard.

Same here…one hour max but I switch from studying the SAT and ACT, each test has their own week. Also need to read Paradise Lost by the time school starts again sigh

And sure thing, I grade my test next day so I won’t have my score until the 4th. And I heard Barrons is a tough one so I stayed away. I’m using the CB SAT book. WellI look forward to tomorrow (strangely)

All right! But yeah… I take SAT on Tuesday and ACT on Thursday. I can’t really study for ACT, b/c I don’t have like a guide/prep book for that. Just the official ACT prep book, which only gives 3 practice exams. I am loaded with 4 AP summer homework for my school as well. Ugh… And I just finished a book called The Separate Peace, although not my English book I am supposed to read… God I am really behind on school work.

“I agree. I can’t even look at an SAT book for one hour straight. I need break every like 30 minutes.”

Same here, but this is with any type of studying. AP’s, regular tests, I just get so bored… It’s why I didn’t study for the ACT.

The Real Act Prep Book isn’t too bad…I use it =]
My goals as of now are a 30+ on the ACT and a 2000+ on the SAT! =]

And yeah…gotta love summer work! And if you mean “A Separate Piece” than I can vouch for it, I likes it.

Yup. I meants “A Separate Peace.” I hope you are not like that on the Writing sec.

No worries, in my defense I am tired and typing on an iTouch which is rather challenging for me.

Well regardless I hear they don’t take a lot off in the writing section for small grammar errors though I can see your concern as I re-read my last post =0
