Accurate acceptance rates?

I am curious if anybody knows where I can find the most accurate and recent acceptance rates for colleges.

Many college guidebooks differ in listing acceptance rates, even those printed during the same year, so I am not sure who to trust.

The CollegeBoard's college profiles on their website seem quite trustworthy, but I am not certain.

If anyone can solidify/disprove my notion regarding authenticity of the CollegeBoard's acceptance rate statistics, please let me know. Or if you know somewhere else where I can find accurate acceptance rates, please let me know.

Oh yeah, and apologies for monotonous use of the words "acceptance rates," hahah.

Aren’t collegeboard’s listings two years behind?

I just go with princeton review’s most recent book

Are the numbers really that different from year to year? And what do you plan to do with that info anyway? Seriously, unless you’re talking about considerably more than a 10% or so gap, it really won’t matter in making any decisions for an applicant, and VERY few colleges change that much in a small amount of time. There are much better things to concentrate on than the published year of acceptance rates, IMHO.

Actually numbers have changed quite radically at some of the top colleges in the last few years. Even some state schools saw 10% changes

Yeah I understand but since more and more people are applying to colleges each year and selectivity is growing I can’t help but be interested in acceptance rates. I myself will be applying to colleges come this coming school year so it’s heavy on my mind. Sorry if I bothered you so much with my question, you didn’t have to answer.

The most recently reported numbers are available from the Common Data Set (section C) at most colleges. Search for it on their web sites.
