Unlike the SAT there are not too many official practice tests released for the ACT, I have used up all that is available from the ACT. What unofficial practice tests are close to the real thing? PR and Kaplan do not have too many tests in their books. How accurate is McGraw-Hill?

PR is probably the closest in terms of accuracy to the real thing

kaplan tends to be a little harder

mcgraw-hill has a lot of mistakes and is easier than the real thing

barron's is really really hard, but it'll make the real thing seem like a joke (it made it seem that way for me, at least)

^ I agree.

Also, Peterson's really really hard.

Peterson's is even harder than barron's

i tried a test from peterson's, and i never used that book again; i mean i missed over 20 in reading... i only (heh, only...) missed 10 in barron's.... but i only missed 2 on the real thing... so yeah, i wouldn't go harder than barron's, but if you can master peterson's, you'd make a 37! (it's so impossible!... lol..)

kidding about the 37, btw..

Phew. I am doing so badly on the Peterson's tests. Now knowing that it is harder than the real one, I am relieved.

The ACT isn't like the SAT, so you don't need to take 1000 ACT tests to do well on it. Real ACT + PR is plenty of tests, and yes those are the best ones.

I agree...
english is repetitive...math is easy if you're past precalc...reading questions require almost no analysis (just speed)...and science is super speed

Does anyone think I should go buy the Real ACT book now? I've got the PR books but there are only 3 tests!

McGraw Hill Seems like it is too easy.... (man, why did I get that...:( )
