Accurate NYU Poly stats to compare myself to---are the ones online from before or after the merge?

Hi there, I’ve applied regular decision for NYU Poly and in the mean time have been looking up stats to compare myself to.

It’s difficult to tell, because for NYU Poly, websites say I have a very high chance, but for just NYU in general my chances are lower. Is the information about Poly from before the merge when it was easier to get in? I want to major in electrical engineering, so if I get accepted, poly’s for sure gonna be my main school.

That’s a hard question to answer because Poly merged with NYU in Jan 2014 so this is its first year. According to NYU’s website, there is a 30% increase in RD applications for Poly so the acceptance rate would be significantly higher than before. I guess the rate would be in the 30-40% range.

Do you think the SAT/gpa range has stayed approximately the same?

Expect it to be around the same as NYU’s average SAT/GPA .
