Accurate practice tests

Which prep books do you think have the most accurate practice tests? (Excluding, of course, the Blue Book.)

i have to say PR and i think many will accede.

Thanks for the response!

How is McGraw-Hill for practice tests? How about Gruber’s? My instinct tells me that Kaplan is awful, and Barron’s is hardly even a prep book for the SAT so much as it is a prep book for some monster…

Personally I rely solely on the Blue Book + official Collegeboard practice tests from previous years which are found here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/766525-official-sat-practice-booklets-past-current.html#post1063114942

^ I’ve exhausted the Blue Book. I actually just got deferred from Yale, and I’m looking to retake the SAT in January to boost my 2260 (the only part of my application I was worried about).

What were your subscores?

For example: My first time I got Math-800, Writing-760, Reading-690. In a case like this, it’d be a total waste to work on math (and for me personally, writing), so I focused on reading for my December SAT.

I got a 770 CR, 760 M, and a 730 W.

It’s actually a really annoying situation, because in CR, I missed two questions (both of which were “easy,” no idea how that happened) and in math I missed one (also “easy”). I make stupid mistakes when I take the test, and so my goal is really to just practice until I focus more on the little things to avoid mistakes like these.

For Writing, I scored an 11 and a 10 on the essay. When I did Blue Book practice tests, I would never make more than two mistakes in the writing section, though for some reason I always make more on the real thing (even though I never think the writing section is particularly difficulty…).

The issue with me really isn’t honing my skills in a particular area. It’s more just practicing more until I stop making stupid mistakes.

Anyone ?

Dude, you got a 2260 and you are concerned. Why not improve your GPA or other things. I wish I can get 2260 and I will never sit for this BS exam in my life. What a waste of time to keep retaking this nonsense exam over and over again. Jeez
