Can anyone give me some insight into the difficulty of this class? I've heard it's one of the harder business tracking courses.

From what I have heard it is one of the main weedout classes for business majors (if you are an accounting major, BP 1 & 2 is harder).

I just finished taking it over the summer at my local college at my hometown as a transient student. Although I believe it must have been easier here, it was still really hard considering I was taking it and 6 weeks…along with bio and bio lab.

From what I have heard form friends that took it last year at UF, it can be a doable B, but a tough A.

D had the class summer C and is waiting on the final grades. If you put in the time by reading the chapters before lecture and studying all the lecture notes before each test, like gpowsang said, a B is definitely doable.

There is online homework and a quiz after each chapter. The quizzes are difficult in that they are timed, and there is only one chance on the quiz. They are only open for 24 hours too which is unlike any other class D has had with online quizzes.

Ms. Goslinga is a very good teacher, but we did not like how she didn’t determine from class grading scale until all grades were in, so you really didn’t know what your grade was going to be. She didn’t curve the tests, but we’re hoping there is somewhat of a curve in the final grades.

Are there any good TA’s or other ways of getting help for Goslinga’s class?
Any particular strategies to be aware of?

Regards,

Mike

What percent of the class gets A’s?

D doesn’t recall her publishing the grade distribution. I can say there were never any curves on the tests.

Taking it now. We shall see…
