Yeah...that's right....it's not a long paper (six page minimum) but it's philosophy....of course I waited till the last second cuz I had a million other things to do. Anyway, I am sort of "on a role" but am a little scared that I won't finish on time or the paper will turn out poorly. Anyway, I have class, then I have a break, then I have a meeting, then I have a break, then I have to turn the paper in during my last class of the day. Will i succeed? We'll find out.......I'll post again after class....oh, I did something similar to this for the first paper and predicted a B and was right.....I think for this one I predict a B- cuz the topic is a bit more compex...anyway, back to work!

A*CK FIN S***YN!

well, i know i will have a good 3 hours to finish up and I just have to make my conclusion. I will probably go back and clarify some of my explanations but its coming around rather nicely. I need at the bear minimum 2 more full pages and I think I can do it. Yeah, I'm thinking a B- or maybe even a B on this paper.

thanks for the information.

basically....."i dont know if i can finish a measly 6 page paper....but if i do i'll probably get a B on it"

seriously, who are you trying to impress over the internet??

If it's not good just ask for an extension so you can work on it some more.

you can't ask for an extension the day it's due

haha, i don't see it as bragging...six pages actually isn't that long. i once wrote (and researched!) a paper we had been given the entire semester to do between 3 AM and 7 AM, when i had to leave for the bus. it ended up being only 12 pages (as opposed to like, 20, which some people wrote!), but i think the whole element of research adds the flair to my success story ;). yeah, i got an a on it. the teacher was obviously an idiot. or...and yes...we're all thinking it...i'm just amazing.

no, but seriously, being a procastinator isn't really anything to be proud of. sometimes when you are stressed you just have to let it out somewhere, though...like CC. haha. good luck with your paper, man, i know how it feels...just work on it in advance next time.

i hope you do well :).

groovin, EXACTLY my point....just letting it out somewhere....thanks :)

As for the cranky or sarcastic remarks of the others.........if you don't care or it bothers you so much that a student posts about an aspect of college life in a college life forum, then just skip the thread and move on.

As for potential procrastinators, don't do it....even if you are swamped like i am, you'd be better off doing little bits at a time throughout the process (like if you know you have a 20 page paper due at the end of the term, just break it down into sections). It's easy to lose your sense of reasoning when you are dealing with other issues. i for one had a killer physics class that sucked the life out of me the first hal of the term and dropped the coure to focus on my other classes and not go insane. Anyway, I hope also that you will see that even if you did mess up by waiting to do everything at once, some effort is better than no effort and if it's too late to talk to your instructor about an extension, just do you're best and turn in what you have...you may surprise yourself.

To the haters....be gone....it's back to work for me....almost done.

<-- eternal procrastinator

This is hell fortnight for us now, 6 assignments due in the next week - and I've barely started.
It's my own fault though, so in the words of the WoW forum trolls: QQ cry more.

well, i finished my paper. i think it started out well but the end kind of got a little....i dunno...soggy at best. dont even ask me to explain that....just go with it...lol. Anyway, i think i may get something in the realm of a C+ if I am lucky at this point....yeah, maybe even a C. Yeah, this paper was a lot harder than I thought it woudl be when I first saw the topic.

Anyway, its over and so begins my break.....i have a million other things to do but I will spread them out this time. for now though, I am relaxing.

Hope u other get your stuff done on time too.

cool. .

Procrastination is motivation! Ancient proverb I came up with. I had a five-page paper due today and I had to do all the reading for it last night which I didn't finish until 5 am, I wrote the introduction until 5:30 am, then I slept until 8 am, got up and began writing the paper and finished it by 9:45 am to leave for class and turn it in. I was shocked I pulled it off. I've been so drained and relieved today that I've put off working on my Statistics work until ten minutes from now!

Luckily, end of quarter is coming so I only have two papers left and they're somewhat spaced apart well. Few classes left, a Statistics final that makes or breaks my grade, and then two glory days of not doing anything in the dorm except hanging out with people! Then back home for almost 4 weeks!!!

Relax.

I have a 10 page report due to 18 hours.

I go to U of Chicago so the freaking annoying grading here is what makes this stuff so darn hard. Anywhere else 5 pages would be like cream cheese, but the grading is so difficult that you have to work to make it above a B grade because most people here get B grades, sometimes lower. Rarely do people get A grades, and if they do, it's a random A-. B+ is more common, but not often.
