Ack! What does this mean? (Status update...)

What happens if you have been at being reviewed for a month or so? .

@dbaby955

YES! I recall there being one or two admitted applicants (who for sure received their admission packages) that were unable to access the enrollment deposit page. It has something to do with taking 7 days for the box to show up after a decision on your application is reached or something like that.
Now I have some hope to look for the mail tomorrow and Tuesday as well!

indianjatt – i’m in the same boat as you are… some people’s changed from reviewed->forward->back to “reviewed” but mine never even changed back and forth…

waitt so if the enrollment deposit link works, it means that you are in? really??

I tried using the links in both FF and IE. Both times, i get an error looking page with a message that says “bad request”. anybody else getting this?

1) Open USConnect in Internet Explorer. Not Firefox, Internet Explorer. Or whatever you use normally to view USConnect. I find that IE is the most reliable for this job. If you use Firefox you can go to the “admitted applicants” page from the dropdown menu and log in manually by clicking the “enrollment deposit” box. But that’s the long way. If you try copy and pasting the URL into Firefox, you’ll just get a blank page.
2) Log in to USConnect. You may want to check the Admission tab first to see if you’ve gotten the boxes on your portal yet. If not, then move onto step 3.
3) Without closing the page where you just logged in, copy and paste the link into the same page’s URL box. Go to the new URL. It’s important that you don’t close the page where you initially logged in, otherwise it will log you out and you’ll get a blank page.
4) A white page will come up with the “enrollment deposit” box in the top left corner. Click the box.
5) It will either say “user is unauthorized” or it will have a form pre-filled with your name, address, etc. You want the latter.

Am I the only one that still gets this message?
“Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.”

._. Does this mean that I’ve been rejected or something?

^zprophety, there’s another thread on this status, check that out, and post your stats there.

Dream, the ‘user is not allowed’ isn’t necessarily bad. ClosetPoet92 on a different thread is getting the ‘user is not authorized for this process’ message even though he’s already gotten his acceptance package. The package says he wont be able to go to that link for 7 days after receiving the letter.

here’s the link: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/880912-one-quick-question-new-trojan-members-d-2.html

A quick note about status updates etc.

I had “forwarded” for a while, like about a month, then some time this weekend (idk when, I just checked it tonight and hadn’t since Friday) it changed to:

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

I tried the links posted, and I CAN submit my deposit/log in as an admitted student, so according to the people heres’ feelings I am “in.” (I also tried the links a few days ago and they didn’t work/said I was unauthorized, and now they do.) However, the RSVP link posted doesn’t work for me. So random… I don’t even understand/care.

Just posting this to show everyone that all the status update drama/links might not be indicative of anything/are weird and confusing and are not representative of anything.

When S logs into USConnect, and clicks on admissions, he now has 4 boxes: 1) Enrollment Commitment Deposit; 2) RSVP for Admitted Students; 3) Admission Docs and 4) Undergraduate Application. All but the RSVP works at this time. He went from forwarded to being reviewed Saturday morning, and the mid year grade box has now been replaced with the enrollment commitment deposit box, which when clicked, goes to the form already completed with his name and USC ID. The Undergraduate Application box, when clicked, goes to the status page. We live on the east coast and are hoping for good news from the USPS. S is quite excited.

@199709 - you’re the first fellow Chicago applicant I’ve seen on here. XD

Ours just showed up. I actually noticed them when I needed to get a fax cover sheet for tax forms. The boxes are on the ‘admissions’ screen (when clicking on admissions after signing in). One box also repeated under events. They showed up before the letter came in the mail. D is a music major who came in for a live audition so I am not sure that other majors will show up the same??? The final status was (and still is) the one about being reviewed with notice sent by April 1.

^How to get the fax cover sheet?

I just got an email notification from DHL saying that a package from USC has been posted for me on the 15th of March =D

Right afterward I logged into my account and saw all four of the boxes appear on my ‘Admissions’ page:
Enrollment Commitment Deposit
Undergraduate Application
Admissions Documents
RSVP for Admitted Student Programs.

I am able to access all four boxes and can even RSVP to four upcoming USC events!

Right now I’m just anxiously waiting for that red and gold package to come into hands.
My brother is currently studying in USC and he says that this is a positive for sure! =]

Good luck to everyone else!

norcalryan-i keep getting ‘bad request’, too :

I think they caught us. When I click on the enrollment deposit link or the RSVP for student programs one while logged in to USConnect, it just takes me back to my application. The page where it shows my status, etc. I think USC figured us out, lol. (:

Or I’m weird again. I’m still on forwarded, the links have never worked for me, and now they take me back to my app…
Hrmm.

USC probably figured out because we didn’t heed their “logged activity” warning. XD

^Im still on forwwarded, but I tried the enrollment link and the camel2.usc.edu website and they both lead to the enrollment commitment form. Does this mean anything?? I dont want to get my hopes up.

^^yup! unless there is a software glitch, then congratulations are in order!
