USC Connect is where you can log in to check your application status…

but I’m still waiting to hear from chattykathy and threetreasurs about my previous questions lol…

After siging in to the application, I clicked the admission tab which took me to a place with 2 boxes, application and documents. The other 2 boxes appeared on that page. A dupplicate box appeared under events.

My daughter visited USC to auditon for the music program several weeks ago. President’s day weekend, we got the unable to process status, then the status switched around a bit then ended with the one I posted (being reviewed). The status still says being reviewed but she has the received the official acceptance packet.

She is absolutely ecstatic and I hope every one reading gets good news soon!

threetreasurs, we are also waiting on Thornton post audition, so we’re so happy for you… and hopeful! Did your daughter receive a scholarship?

threetreasurs, when did your daughter receive the acceptance packet?

Mine says:

“We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.”

Whatever that means…

as Threetreasures said…click on to usconnect…it takes you to the option of prospective, or admitted student. If you click admitted you have to enter your USC ID…then the events box comes up for Explore for admitted students. At least that is how it worked for people in the first wave. Nice to know the second wave has started and hope people will be getting their good news very soon!

The NMF Presidential scholarship!

@threetreasurs, your daughter recieved the NMF scholarship??? That’s great!

@threetreasurs,
Congratulations!! Where are you located??

Congrats threetreasure!!!

Opps - she is a NMF and my understanding is that this means she will get the NMF Presidential but there has been no official notification about the scholarhip. We do have an official admittance but don’t want to start any rumors about scholarship letters<g>.</g>

@chattykathy - could you please be more specific or take a screen shot of the page? When I log into USConnect it just shows my home page…

"she is a NMF and my understanding is that this means she will get the NMF Presidential . "
Yes, IF she decides to go to USC AND she notifies NMSF that USC is her first choice by the MAY 1 deadline.

@chattykathy - okay, it only lets me do the admitted/prospective thing if I use an unsupported browser.

Well, tomorrow is March 1st and that means acceptances may be coming any day now. I can’t wait to see what these statuses actually mean!

dream…so…when you clicked “admitted student” and entered your ID, did it allow you to make a deposit and pick an explore date?

Okay, how about this. Is there anyone else with the “being reviewed” status who still has “click here here to submit mid-year grades” line EVEN THOUGH you already did so?

Yep, I do.

I think everyone has “click her to submit mid-year grades.” If you have already submitted them, when you click that link there will be a bold statement in red that says your midyear grades have already been submitted.

I feel like there is some difference between “being reviewed” and “forwarded.” Is there anybody with the "forwarded’ status that applied AFTER Dec 1st? Applying before Dec 1st seems to be a general trend for people with “forwarded.”

We can continue to decipher these statuses or just wait one WHOLE month. I personally am having fun constantly checking back on CC for this status thing haha

My twin brother’s status never changed from “being reviewed” and he recently got his acceptance package from USC, which was posted 1/27th. I really don’t think these statuses mean anything.
