Ack! What does this mean? (Status update...)

In response to Hoobucs720 - I applied on January 10, so after the Dec 1st scholarship date. My “forwarded to committee” status showed up about a week ago.

chattykathy - no, it doesn’t let me make a deposit/book an Explore session.

i’ve had this status
We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.
for more than one week and i didnt receive any mail or package yet…
seems like i’m rejected or something
(i live in oc and it should take less than a week to be mailed)

^ameyajy, well, lots of people have this status, i don’t think it’s necessary bad. what’re you stats?

amejajy, I have the same status and I feel the same way! :[

Theres just this negative tone to it, maybe because they use the word ‘no’.

einnob- last year lots of people with that message were accepted, some were rejected. It doesn’t mean anything more than what it says.

mine has said “Your application has been forwarded for committee review” for the past couple weeks now, and my midyear grades were never requested, so i didnt send them in, does this look like a good sign?

^ same here ^

it looks like @threetreasurs had these links appear on her page:
https://usconnect.usc.edu:447/Render/ServiceRender/AdmUGCertification.aspx</a>
https://usconnect.usc.edu:447/Render/ServiceRender/SpringResRsvp.aspx</a></p>

if u log into USC connect u can try clicking on the link, but it wont let u use it until u get in
—Might be a good way to find out if u got in b4 the package arrives–

has anyone tried clicking the links and if so, do they work for you? they unfortunately don’t work for me.

They just show up blank for me

Hoobucs720-they showed up blank for me the first time i tried. I think you need to log on to your USC account before clicking on the links. Thats what I did the second time. One link brought me to an “enrollment commitment deposit” box, and the other link brought me to “rsvp for admitted student programs” (the boxes look like the ones on the admission page and financial aid page of your usc account) Unfortunately, for both boxes, when i clicked they didn’t work. One box brought me to a page that said “Thank you. User is not authorized for this process.” The other box brought me to a page that said "
We are unable to locate your record in this service database, please confirm your USCID is valid (it should contain 10 numeric digits) in the My Profile tab of USConnect. If this problem persists, please contact us. Error code: ID2 " I guess either i’ve been rejected, or not yet accepted :/

Mine shows up as “confirm your intent to enroll by clicking here to submit $300 enrollment commitment deposit (or valid waiver request) online”

the second link says “newly admitted students are invited to RSVP for any of our experience usc events, where they can learn more about campus life and academic programs”

hope this method of figuring out our decisions doesn’t backfire on me

I can’t get to these links at all. I just have boxes for Application, Documents and MIdyear Grades. Any other way to get to them?

log into usc connect first, then click on the links.

gashergina-did you click on the boxes that showed up when you clicked the links posted?

Hello21…after clicking on the new boxes (after signing on, then hitting the new links) I got the same exact messages as you. It’s would have been very cool if I could have been anything but “unauthorized”. :-(

^^ Very dissapointed as i get the same exact messages as you two ^^. I don’t think those are very confident messages

oh no, i didn’t know you had to click on those boxes… I have the same message! I hope it doesn’t mean anything bad…

Yeah, I also hope that this isn’t a bad sign. Especially since I heard that the next wave of acceptances should be going out soon, and if I haven’t been accepted yet (as the links seem to indicate?) then its quite possible I’ve been rejected but just wont find out till near April when the rejections are mailed out…
