<p>I apologize if I missed a thread that answered this question, but am I supposed to receive anything that acknowledges that Columbia received my application? I've gotten a few emails from other places so I wanted to make sure. I saw that you can track your application on their site, so that also made me wonder.

<p>Well I got one from common app. I’m looking on Columbia’s site now and I see that you need an ID number to track your application, so I guess what I’m asking is how long does it take to receive this number?</p>

<p>ah, I did not know that. well I applied 5 days ago so I was just hoping for some notification that they received it. they’re the only college now that hasn’t sent me anything, and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t supposed to be getting anything.</p>
