Hello everyone, it is my first time posting in these forums.

Currently I'm an undergraduate student (3 years program) in the field of physics at the University of Paris-Sud 11 (France). I have a passion for Music, know Music theory at a basic-medium level and fairly familiair with Computer Music creation (Using DAWs). I'm in 2nd year and we have to choose a speciality in the 3rd year. I'm hesitating between :

Mechanical Physics

Electrical Physics

I want to become an Acoustical Engineer, though I "really" prefer Mechanics over whatever's related to circuits. I'm very interested in subjects related to Signals (Like Signal processing, Noise etc.) but not in circuits and that's why I don't want to choose the Electrical branch, unless it's necessary or mandatory regarding my future plans.

I want to know whether It's a good idea to choose a Master's program in Architectural Acoustics considering my non Architectural or Engineering backround. (In this case, lets consider that I choose the Mechanical program for my 3rd year)

Any feedback on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Architectural Acoustics Master's program? It really interests me, exactly what I want.

How about Rochester U. "MSEE with a Concentration in Musical Acoustics and Signal Processing"? This one also interests me a lot but are circuit related courses prerequisites for this program?

I also want to know other related Master's programs, and some info. about their related job markets especially for Architectural Acoustics.

I also wanted to know whether graduating from a classic Mechanical Eng. program from a prestigious university would guarantee a job in the Music/Entertainment Industry.

I know those were a lot of questions, but I'm desperately in need of advice.

Thank you & Peace.
