ACS General Chemistry Exam

Is this exam for college students, or can AP chemistry students in high school take it? If so, about how many high school students take it every year? Is AP adequate prep for this exam?

AP is a very good base to work off of, but you’ll need to self-study a lot of other topics (especially in Ochem, acid/base, …) if you want to excel, I suppose.

After taking AP Chem I could answer many of the local questions easily.

The ACS General Chemistry exam is a nice way to prep for the AP Exam. With the exception of extra topics covered by the ACS exam (notably organic chem topics), it pretty much asks questions that have the same difficulty as the AP Chemistry exam.

I took it last year as an AP Chem student, and I got to know where my weak spots were before I started practicing on past AP exams. xD

I would say go for it. It can’t hurt. =P
