I say you need to purchase an ACT prep book. The real ACT prep guide is put out by ACT and has real ACT tests. Also, I like 50 top skills for a top ACT score. Yes, I have found some errors like 6^4 is 1296 not 64. But, i really like the set up of the book. It gives you easy, medium and hard questions for each skill. I recommend buying your books off of Amazon.com they are cheaper there than at a retail store.

Hihgghgh ~ Did you do much prep before you took this exam? I think w/practice you can definitely improve your score. On my daughter’s first practice test, she scored a 23 in math w/out any prep at all. After prepping w/a prep class and doing some prep on her own (mainly w/the Real ACT Book) she scored a 30 in math both times she took a real test. I agree w/slnich, you need to go out and purchase the Real ACT Book and do all of their practice tests. Good luck! With practice you will see some meaningful results.

Before two weeks of the act test i took a practice test and i got on 18 reading and science and 19 on English and math. The week before the act test, i took the english test every day, and didn’t review my mistakes but i improved 5 points. I didn’t practice for math, reading or science.

i had really low score first time. i got princeton review: cracking the act, read everything except for the science section (didnt have time) raised my score 6 points to a 24.

now im trying to get a 30, just bought barron’s 36 act and the red book (official act book). gonna read all those + science part on princeton review
