Hi, I’m an international school student and I’m a rising senior.
I didn’t really devote my time to study for ACT so I didn’t get a good score.
I scored 24 this June and I’m preparing for September test, which is the last one before I apply for ED.
I’m currently scoring 26-27 range but do you think it’s possible to raise up to 30s?
I’m trying to study at least 10 hours per day.
I’m taking real test everyday, taking practice tests and correcting the tests I solved each day.
I write why I chose the wrong answer and why the right answer is the right answer.
By using this method, do you think I’m able to raise my score to 30s?
I really have to score 30s.
btw I’m scoring E: 25-26 M: 31-33 R: 19-21 S: 25-27
Hello there! I think the answer to your question is: depends. Are you improving all the time? Do you scores keep getting better because of taking the ACT practice tests the way you do? If the answer is yes, then great! Keep improving. If the answer is no or not a lot, try a different approach. Online, you can find hundreds, if not thousands, of strategies for the ACT and SAT. I’d suggest you try a few you think could work. Personally, I watched the videos of a teacher on YouTube with an account called Best ACT Prep (link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3NcGS4FQDDz0RGAaH3ZG-A). If you find a strategy that helps you improve your scores, adopt that strategy and keep working hard. Good luck with your ACT test in September!
I think to work on your reading, just try to get faster. Usually being a slow reader is the biggest problem people have with that section.
I have the same problem based on English and Reading sections, Any advice for an international student?
