ACT 36ers

How many of you took the ACT several times, had a 34 or so and finally tested with a 36? The CollegeBoard website says 34 to 36 is considered 99%. Once you hit 34 you may not need to take it again, but I wondered if this was the case for anyone here.

Not me… lol

It wouldn’t make that much of a difference to admissions officers. The line between a 34, 35 and 36 is rather blurred so that one or two questions answered incorrectly might be a result of being time pressured to complete the test on time - it wouldn’t really reflect much of of a lack of ability compared to the perfect scorers.

Don’t worry about it, if you did score a 34 then congratulations! You’d be better off spending time to do other things, like exploring more of your interests (and catching up on your other school work, hehe!)

i hate to revive this thread but i just got my score so i kinda wanna tell the world! i got a 33 first try and 36 second try! to be honest i didnt feel any more prepared te second time around; honestly, i felt less prepared. so i would say they is surely an element of luck involved. Frankly, if you do the math, the difference between a 34 and a 36 is usually like 5 questions. trivial
