ok Im a sophomore. Have taken the ACT twice, first time 20, second time-23.

I am wanting to take it again December 7th. Should I? I have taken the practice test thats on the ACT.com website and scored a 28 so I guess Ill be getting a 28 if I take it December. Now my questions is....... should I still take it for that 28 to show my parents that I do actually have a 28 and not a 23? or should I not take it and wait till next year???

BTW, I am planning on taking thE ACT 6-7 times by the end of my senior year.

omg, dude... why? i would wait til junior, i mean, i took SAT as a fresh (for some gifted program thingy) and again as a soph (for dual enrollment)... but twice your soph and 6-7 by senior?? at the very most i would have taken it once frsh/soph and maybe three times tops from junior/senior...just my two cents

You're only a soph...don't take it again until your junior year. Your score will go up just because you've learned more in school. Taking it 6-7 times is a colossal waste of time, energy and money.

I agree taking it 6-7 times is a massive waste of time and money. I think you should study really really hard and than take it again this spring and just not take it in December. Just focus on this test and try to get a top score so you have one less thing to worry about when you are a senior. I mean no matter how hard your schedule is now it will only get harder in the coming years. I wish that I had done this as I now never have time to study for standardized tests. As a result I have gotten fairly low test scores and I know that I could be scoring really high. Anway except for Trig I think you have covered everything that you need to know for that test and Trig can be taken care of by the whole SOHCAHTOA thing. Good luck with whatever you decide.
