I am going to apply to the Ivy schools, mit, and stanford the upcoming fall, and i know people generally say that schools dont prefer the ACT over the SAT, or vice versa, but is this really true? Would the ivys prefer that i took both, because i am leaning toward just taking the ACT, rather than the SAT. (But, of course, i will take the 3 sat subject tests)

Either is fine. Some even take the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT IIs (Yale, Brown, and Penn of the ivies)
