ACT and SAT - Is it true that you have to take both tests 2 times to be considered

The requirements on the admission page say to take both the ACT and the SAT 2 times each. Does everyone do this? If your SAT score is 1800 or above, can you skip the ACT or maybe just take it 1 time?

It doesn’t say that you’re required to take both exams, or that you’re required to take them twice each.

That’s just advice that you should probably take them more than once. You’ll be familiar with the exam and will probably improve. Since FSU superscores your scores, you would then have two sets of scores in each section that FSU can pull from to make one score.

You don’t have to take both exams. You can take only the SAT or ACT if you want. Just remember to take the test with the writing section because the writing portion of either the SAT or ACT is required for FSU.

So long as you have a set of test scores from either exam, that’s all FSU cares about. They don’t require taking both exams, nor do they require multiple exams from each.

So to answer the question: no, it isn’t true you have to take both tests 2 times.
