<p>Has anyone reported BOTH the ACT and SAT to colleges? I know they say they only need one, but some parts of the country "prefer" one over the other. Please let me know what your thoughts are</p>
<p>I am reporting both to all of the colleges I am applying to. My ACT score was better than my SAT score, and I don't know what my October score it yet. I sent SAT because they wanted Subject Tests and because I know that some schools prefer it.</p>

<p>The "preference" is a myth. It used to be that one or the other was preferred, but it is no longer.</p>
<p>That being said, my d had very good ACT and SAT scores, so she sent both.</p>

<p>We plan to send both for my son. Indeed, he has sent scores from each tests to colleges already. (Why waste free score reports?) I think at least one college he has some interest in has received scores from both tests for him already.</p>
