I have a couple questions about test scores that I'm sure have been discussed here but I can't seem to find the threads. 1. Does Vandy supersccore the ACT?
2. Does Vandy ask that ALL test scores be submitted?

Thanks!

You do not have to submit all your test scores. S did not submit SAT. He used his ACT which was a much better score. Since he only took one ACT, I didn’t check on the superscore.

Your guidance office likely has a standard of practice regarding putting your test scores on a cover sheet of your records. Inquire. Every school is diff. Our sons took tests sometimes without designating the home high school just to see how things shook out. Sometimes if they had an SAT and the ACT score was basically the equivalent or less they would simply bag it. Sometimes the reverse happened and the second test was an asset and was then shared with the final schools. Our kids didn’t really decide where they were applying till rather late so you can get “sending out the free scores to schools” thing all mixed up of course.

No you definitely do not have to submit all scores for both SAT and ACT, but I think if you send either SAT or ACT, they send scores for all sittings. That is interesting about the cover sheets. Hadn’t thought/heard of that. It’s a little unnerving. My son took the SAT once, ACT twice, and SAT IIs. He only submitted the ACTs and SAT IIs. I have this feeling that they do not superscore the ACT. This info is probably on the admissions website somewhere.

Per two visits and info sessions …

No. Vandy does NOT superscore the ACT.

No. They’ve specifically said it’s the student’s choice to send the scores they wish VU to review.
