all that matters is which one you score better on. http://www.collegeboard.com/sat/cbsenior/html/stat00f.html <== gives you the comparison.

Take practice tests in either one and see which one you do better on. Then take that one. Taking both tests is not helpful in and of itself. It's NOT the case that colleges will somehow like the fact that you took a couple of your saturdays to take some tests. All they care about is their statistics they give to the public, so the higher the test the better.

ACT is score choice, so you can take it many times and only send the result from the test date that you want. SAT, however, shows every single one of your scores to colleges. On the other hand, colleges generally allow you to combine the highest sAT subscores from every sitting. With the ACT, you're only evaluated on highest single sitting.

Is ACT more preparable than SAT? Do you think HYPS prefer one over another even though they deny this?
Im international and not know much about the test. How come most students are taking SAT over ACT?
Do you need phyics to score 35-36 on science section?what percent is on the test?
